Hi kittens! Happy Happy FRI-YAY! I am working a half-day today, and then hitting the road for a baby shower weekend in Fernandina Beach, Florida. MUCH. NEEDED. Bring on the sunshine. I had a few extra minutes, so I thought I'd share my packing list! It's gonna be warm during the day, but cooler temps at night, so I pretty much just packed everything I own per usual. Honestly, why do I act like there are there even seasons.

It's 29 degrees in Atlanta today, so this weekend couldn't have come at a better time! I snagged this pair of sunnies before the weekend and get this...they are men's. HA! Whatever, can sunglasses even have a sex? I think not. If you follow me on IG, you saw I also got this mega-free pair this week. Can never ever have too many pairs, fact.
I packed mostly comfy lounge-wear like this sweater, and my favorite cheapie black shorts. I am wearing a navy blue version of the black jumpsuit (#7) above to the shower, because ya know..it's a boy! :) i love a jumpsuit for an out-of-town event because it's just one piece and takes up almost zero room in your suitcase. I also ALWAYS bring my hand steamer to fix any wrinkles caused by travel. Fun fact: ya girl CANNOT iron.

Y'all will have to excuse the shortness of this shoot! I had the flu ALL last week (horrible!!) and the couch was as far as I could move. Will was sweet enough to help me snap these. My current obsession with all things velvet is very, very real. It is such a cozy material, you could literally wear this dress to bed or to a party. Love that! You probably saw my NYE coat, but here are a few more velvety goodies i am itching to get my paws on! Could you DIE over that jacket?! I would pair it with this faux fur clutch. NEED NEED NEED.

My Christmas babies!! How are you ho-ho-holding up? I am recovering from being on my deathbed in this robe, yet again, with a sinus infection. Can I get a new nose? Like, is mine just not big enough to endure daily life? I just cannot. Anyway, I am on the mend thanks to a ton of real meth-filled Sudafed and enough Theraflus to float the Titanic, and that means I am back to YOU! All the merry feels. I am probably still gonna wear the robe though. Ok.

My man is finally back in town from his new job training and I cannot waiiit to have a weekend home with him. I live in slouchy sweaters like this one all year long. I wear them at home over bralettes with cut-offs, and pair them with sweats on lazy Sundays, but I especially love the transitional time between summer and fall where you can get away with wearing winter on top with warm weather shoes on the bottom. There is something so chic about an oversized top hanging loosely over a fitted jean and paired with a super feminine heel. Feels very Carrie Bradshaw if you ask me. Did you guys have Hot Topic in your mall? They would sell absolutely NOTHING like what I have on. How fun are these pants?! I wore them out to dinner in Florida last month (with a white crop top instead) and they were the perfect mix of dressy, different and comfortable in the hottest heat that ever heated. I have a long torso, so finding high-waisted trousers that are long enough for me to wear heels with is a MAJOR win. ('Trousers' is such an odd word..) The fact that they are currently still on sale is just a no-brainer. I'm actually annoyed because they are even cheaper now than they were when I found them.
When I love something, I love it hard..(trust me, I saw Titanic twelve times in theaters), and the same has been going for florals as of late. That man DRESSED for bed, let me tell you. I also lovingly refer to it as Colonel Mustard, but honestly, it is one of my favorite purchases this year. It is under $40 and could not be more comfortable, plus you don't even need a bra. Funny story...I wore this to a wedding and forgot pasties, so I wore x-shaped band-aids underneath. I looked like a budget super-hero. Do as I say guys, not as I do.
GOLDEN 'GRAMS.
Hi my Gilties! I am back from what feels like 3 weeks of traveling (dramatic), and am playing catch up like nobody's business. Miami was amazing. The weather was perfect, and there is something so great about a group of girlfriends that can spend most of the year apart, but come back together and laugh like absolutely zero time has passed. I am very thankful for my favorite five, that is for sure.
One of the hardest things about beach packing for me is remembering to bring anything to wear during the day that isn't a bikini or a cover-up. (But speaking of cover-ups...I am very much obsessed with this one I just got before my trip! Looks way more expensive than $19.99!) This amazing jumpsuit from Show Me Your Mumu is perfect to throw on for lunch or to wear out for dinner. I was sold on the print alone before I even saw the whole outfit. It's also on sale! I got an XS, but it does run slightly small in the waist, so I would recommend going up a size if you want it to be less squeezy and more breezy.
It also comes in pants and a dress...I am dying for the pants! Tax return? Hi. Could you hurry it up?
