GILTY PLEASURE: TOUR OF BLOGLAND.

After being so sweetly featured by K&J over at Regally Soled last week on their Tour of Blogland, I decided to do my own! I was reading these three blogs long before I got my own off the ground, and have kept on following religiously after the fact. Each of these beauts has inspired me and made me laugh, and honestly, I thought it would be morally wrong not to share the wealth with you. Let me kick things off by answering a few questions about moi/GILTY:

1. What am I working on?
I am working on staying relevant! I am still fairly new to the blog scene, so I am currently trying to gauge my reader’s interest in different topics & keep them coming back with tons of new outfit posts, as well as sharing all the new goods I find myself drooling over. Anything you guys are wanting? Shoot me an email!

2. How does my blog differ from others in its genre?
I really try not to take myself too seriously, so I feel like when you are on my site, you are getting the real me. I am outspoken, sarcastic and quick to point out all of my own flaws, so I feel like my readers are getting a more relatable approach to fashion & design.

3. Why do I write/create what I do?
I have always loved to shop & put together looks, I get that from my crazy-stylish grandma, Poggy. Trust me on that one. I was sharing my outfits on Instagram and Facebook and getting tons of feedback from people, both friends and strangers, about where I was getting things I was wearing. I have always loved to write, so starting a blog just seemed like a natural way to combine all of my favorite things. I admit, the idea was REALLY scary/overwhelming at first, but it has really been such an amazing creative outlet for me.

4. How does my writing/creating process work?
Y'all, heck if I know. It just comes out! My writing process is inspired by what I already have, what I am currently lusting over & whatever is happening in my life at the moment. I love to pore over magazines and recreate looks using pieces I already own, but I also like to play off of whatever my friends and I are into. I have tons of great inspiration right in front of me every day.

Without further adieu, and in no particular order, I give you Megan of Style Me Swanky, Mandy from Mandy & Such, and Lindsay from Sadie + Stella.

MEGAN, STYLE ME SWANKY

Hello! I'm Megan, a dessert-for-breakfast kind of girl living in Charleston, SC. I launched Style Me Swanky to highlight my belief that style isn't only based on what we wear, but in how we live and the atmosphere in which we surround ourselves.  My creative place includes posts on fashion, beauty, and home interiors, all of which are aimed to inspire a stylish life through a fresh, classic approach.

MANDY, MANDY & SUCH

I'm Mandy, a twenty-something wife & mama to 3 littles navigating life in the Midwest.  I'm passionate about creating a beautiful life for me and my young family...cooking, decorating, a little {maybe a lot} of shopping and photos of our everyday life can all by found at my blog Mandy & Such.  I hope you'll stop by and check it out!

 LINDSAY, SADIE + STELLA

I am an insurance broker specializing in the fast-paced business of catastrophic property coverage by day, and an interior designer and blogger by night. Talk about merging the right and left brain. I decided I had to live up to my predestined surname, Dress, and get some kind of fashion and design career rolling. All in heels, of course. Find Lindsay over at Sadie + Stella.

Go. Read. Fall in love with these girls like I have. Ew, not in like a weird way! It's fine if you're obsessed though, because I totally am. Are we all ready to take on the week? No? Okay, let's hit snooze. I shot some fun outfits for you guys over the weekend with Moet on Stella, so get ready!

WHO RUN THE WORLD? GIRLS.

Happy work week, babies! Are we all well-rested from a weekend of leisure? No. Let's be serious, we are all hungover and seriously angry at pants for existing. I share your pain vicariously, but am actually off today and have been lying by the pool for the past hour. I had big plans to wake up and work out, but retreated to my couch and watched 3 episodes of Real Housewives of Melbourne instead. Have you guys SEEN this trainwreck? Jackie. That is all I can say.

The whole RHO-franchise is an appropriate intro for this post. One of the best things I have discovered about Atlanta since moving here in 2012 is that girls here really lift each other up and promote each other instead of acting catty and tearing each other down, which is all too common these days. I moved here knowing only a handful of people and was instantly welcomed by a huge (mostly blonde) group of amazing girls. That was SO refreshing to me as it was a complete 180 from when I moved to Boston, where it took me a full year to make a solid, but small group of friends. Blame it on the South, but it also just goes to show the true caliber of the girls here in ATL. You go, Glen Coco.

For example, today I am fortunate enough to be meeting with a friend of mine, Jessica Camerata, who runs a wildly successful blog called My Style Vita here in Atlanta. I think the fact that she is willing to meet with a newbie like me speaks volumes and I am over the top thankful. Go check out her blog if you haven't already.
