SUNNY SIDE UP.

Happy Cinco de Mayo, my little bambinos! Wait, I think bambino is actually Italian. WELL. I don't know about y'all, but cinco is by far my favorite de Mayo, because let's be honest, no one has ever understood May Day. If queso isn't involved, I am not really interested. Grab yourself a marg (hold the salt, because puffy face) and let's talk jumpsuits, shall we?

If it was acceptable to live in a jumpsuit, I would. I ordered this one during my "People vs. OJ Simpson" watching spree and literally died laughing when I put it on because it reminded me so much of Johnny Cochran's collection of silk pajamas. That man DRESSED for bed, let me tell you. I also lovingly refer to it as Colonel Mustard, but honestly, it is one of my favorite purchases this year. It is under $40 and could not be more comfortable, plus you don't even need a bra. Funny story...I wore this to a wedding and forgot pasties, so I wore x-shaped band-aids underneath. I looked like a budget super-hero. Do as I say guys, not as I do.

[WATER]COLOR ME BAD.

Major apologies for my absence, GILTIES! I spent the weekend in Maryland marrying off one of my very best friends in the world to the kindest-hearted groom I could have ever handpicked for her. The wedding itself was absolutely magical, the weather was perfect and we danced our feet off for the rest of the night while sipping champagne. What more could a girl want? #williamandmolly

One of the best parts of the weekend for me was watching Molly open a water-color painting that we (my group of best friends from college..aka 'fivish') had commissioned for her of one of their engagement photos. The extremely talented Rebecca Hinson is the beauty behind the paint brush. The fact that she went to College of Charleston with us was just an extra special touch. You can find her work at rebeccahinson.com and on Instagram at @rebeccahinson. Right about now I am kicking myself for not snapping a pic of Molly unwrapping it, but here is a glimpse of our piece:

and THIS was the original photo...

Isn't that amazing!? I have to admit, we owe this entire idea to Amanda. Giving credit where credit is due. Congrats again to the brand new William & Molly DUFFY!

WHAT TO WEAR: FALL WEDDING.

Out of all of the seasons, doesn't it seem like fall is just the most romantic? It's prime snuggle-weather and the light outside is by far the most beautiful. I guess that is why so many people choose to get married now, but it can be tricky to dress the part. If you are wondering what to wear to a fall wedding, I totally gotchu girl. My cooler-weather favorites include leather, animal print & lace…SOOO basically, my cooler-weather favorites are just thicker versions of my summer favorites. What can I say, I like what I like. Here are a few of my current picks:
I am obsessed with that LOFT leopard! If the temperatures really drop at your venue, pair any of these little numbers with black tights & add a bootie. It's all about making little adjustments like that to bring your wardrobe with you into the next season. Finish your look off with a fun clutch & meet me at the bar. I'm buying.

TIL' DEATH DO WE PART(Y).

This weekend marks the 1 year anniversary since my drop dead gorg best friend, Amanda, married her adorable husband, Hodge. Their Charleston, SC wedding was by far the most beautiful event I have ever been a part of, so I knew there was no better subject matter for today's post.

Amanda and I were suite-mates at the College of Charleston our Freshman year. We bonded pretty much instantly over a love of Reduced Fat Cheez-its and Juicy Couture. Lay off, it was 2004. After college, Amanda met Hodge and a few amazing years later, he proposed with the most stunning ring you have ever seen.

Even though we all live in Atlanta now, Charleston was an obvious choice for their wedding, as it is where we all have the happiest memories. I act like this was my wedding too, but I sort of feel like it was? Sorry, Hodge. After a full day of panic, horizontal rain & tropical storming the night before, July 13th, 2013 turned out to be sunny and perfect. These beautiful pictures by Paige Winn are just a glimpse...
