GOLDEN 'GRAMS.

Hi my Gilties! I am back from what feels like 3 weeks of traveling (dramatic), and am playing catch up like nobody's business. Miami was amazing. The weather was perfect, and there is something so great about a group of girlfriends that can spend most of the year apart, but come back together and laugh like absolutely zero time has passed. I am very thankful for my favorite five, that is for sure.

One of the hardest things about beach packing for me is remembering to bring anything to wear during the day that isn't a bikini or a cover-up. (But speaking of cover-ups...I am very much obsessed with this one I just got before my trip! Looks way more expensive than $19.99!) This amazing jumpsuit from Show Me Your Mumu is perfect to throw on for lunch or to wear out for dinner. I was sold on the print alone before I even saw the whole outfit. It's also on sale! I got an XS, but it does run slightly small in the waist, so I would recommend going up a size if you want it to be less squeezy and more breezy.

It also comes in pants and a dress...I am dying for the pants! Tax return? Hi. Could you hurry it up?

KIMON-OVER.

I feel like I was really reaching with that title. Kimono? C'mon over? Anyone? No, okay. That's what I thought, but hey, A+ for effort. So I actually bought this leopard situation as a beach cover-up way back when I lived in Boston (shout out Shabu Zen!), but was inspired by this picture on Pinterest, and whipped up this Spring outfit that I am actually loving. Who doesn't love to be swaddled in leopard while also recycling items you already own? People that can't be trusted, that's who.

MIX IT UP: leopard + stripes.

Cooler temps bring on the option to layer, which is a big ol' YAY because it gives you SO much more fashion freedom! I love a good monochromatic look, don't get me wrong, but I also love to mix it up every now and then. One of my favorite combos is leopard + stripes. Here are two ways I love to wear this odd little couple:
mixing, prints, leopard, stripes
LOOK 1: TOP / DENIM / SHOE / LIPSTICK
LOOK 2: TOP / SCARF / DENIM / SHOE / LIP GLOSS

Look 1 is an unapologetically rude night out with your favorite friend-girls, and look 2 is a super casual "I'm-running-errands-but-look-how-trendy-I still-am-without-even-trying" type of vibe. I dig both VERY much.

Tomorrow is Halloween and I am so excited, I probably won't sleep at all. That's a total lie as I am beyond exhausted and have been in pajamas since about 6:07pm. I get off work at 6pm sharp. Here is one last way I like to wear leopard…another example of when it was time to SAY GOODNIGHT.

SNAKE IN THE GRASS.

Ok, so I lied when I said I didn't buy anything at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale…but the one item I did bring home was not actually on sale (go figure), so it was not really a REAL lie. It was only ly-ish. Forgive me? You will in time. This beaut below came home with me. It was really beyond my control.

BONUS: long enough for heels!
Super flattering sweetheart neckline.
Love the colors in this python print.
My closet floor. Probably my favorite DIY ever.
I seriously can't wait to wear this flowy little number to sip wine in the French countryside. Did I mention there is no wine on this 21 Day Fix? I'll ask you again, #sendhelp.

P. to tha S. A few people have been asking for more details on this little closet safari DIY. It was one of those moments that was accidentally genius, but super easy.

Basically, I bought this rug online (I think from Overstock?), but when it came in, it was WAY too aggressive for my living room and it was final sale. After a lot of pouting, I decided to try cutting it to fit my closet. I told you...decor crazed. Maybe I should have prefaced this with: "I was still single."

I measured the inside of my closet, marked the rug and then cut it using carpet shears I bought at Lowe's. Finally, I used carpet seam glue on the edges to keep it from fraying and voila! Leopard lovin' heaven.

Here is a collage of the whole adorable process:

SEEING SPOTS.

Listen, my love affair with leopard is no secret. It really isn't getting any better, if anything, it's actually getting worse. Lucky for me, it's 2014 and we have pretty much all banded together and agreed that it IS indeed a neutral. It seems like every time I decide I probably have enough spotted goods to last me a very fashionable lifetime, someone comes out with something new and the addiction starts all over again.

You know the stages: Shock (you cannot believe something so gorgeous exists). Confusion (why don't you own this item yet?). Lust (you must have it and will maul anyone that tries to get in your way). Rage (what do you mean it is SOLD OUT?!). Realization & acceptance...just kidding, you then frantically scour the internet for hours, find it on eBay and promise away your first-born. You aren't a quitter, for goodness sake.

Here is my latest leop-y lust list. Can you hear my heartbeat? Because these items seriously make me feel like I can taste colors. #sendhelp
