WHAT TO WEAR: NYE 2016.

New Year's Eve is the absolute MOST fun night to dress for in my humble little opinion. I love the glitz and I live for champagne. The hunt for the perfect outfit never stops. I went out in search of this leather romper , but it was nowhere to be found (tear!) and I ended up with this pencil skirt instead. (It was cheaper! Winning.)

I am envisioning wearing it with a lace bralette top like this one. Don't you love when you have an outfit in your head and it ends up working!? Literally makes me feel like Rachel Zoe. Now I just need to figure out my shoe situation. Maybe these?

What are your plans for NYE!? I can't wait to see ya, 2017.

WHAT TO WEAR: NYE PARTY.

Just a few NYE options for your Sunday evening. I am back home and happy to be snuggled up with my Coco girl. Hope you all had the best Christmas yet! So much to be thankful for.

NYE STYLE RECAP.

Happy New Year!! Has everyone made and broken their resolutions? I am not a big resolution girl myself, I just usually decide to focus on trying to better myself in small ways here and there. I love Bethenny Frankel's quote, "Do what you can." As long as you are doing what you can, you can never disappoint yourself. Today for me that meant sleeping in, watching HGTV over my mid-morning coffee and finishing tonight with a 3 mile walk and some couch time with Coco girl. Doesn't take much!

Let's talk NYE for one more minute. I found this fun gold foil jumpsuit at Topshop in Nordstrom. It was $75 and I bought it and then promptly returned it. I can be very indecisive. Anyway, I decided I wanted it again, went back to grab it and found it on sale for $37! MAJOR win. This is what I call "outFATE"..outfit fate. Thank you, shopping Gods.
I wore this H&M blazer as my jacket, which I eventually shed and abandoned at the coat check. NYE, y'all. Never fear, she is home now safe & sound. I also decided to throw it back to the hoop earring. Shout out, Icing.

This is the only pic I have of the BCBG booties I wore with it. Super comfy and they hit at a flattering part of the ankle, which is VERY important in a bootie when you are bare-leggin' it. I got these at DSW, but there are tons of similar options available right now.
Thursday I was super impressed with myself for popping out of bed and turning my swag on, like Willow Smith. Just snagged these burgandy French Connection pumps at DSW. The hat is Forever 21!
After such a fun few days, Coco and I spent most of yesterday and today like this. My mom got me this Nate Berkus throw for Christmas and neither of us are ever moving from underneath it. Back to the grind tomorrow, kittens! I am shooting some great looks this week, so stay tuned!

WHAT TO WEAR: NYE PARTY.

Hi party people! I'm sure it comes as no surprise to you that New Year's Eve is one of my very favorite nights of the year. It is basically an excuse to dress like a human sequin and drink your weight in champagne. I meean? NYE caps off the holiday party season and everyone wants to go out looking their very best. No one wants to start off the New Year ugly, it's just bad juju.

Let's talk NYE style. There are three style categories that I push hard this time of year: sequins, lace & the playsuit. There are SO many variations of each, but here are a few ideas to get you started:

1. SEQUINS + SHINE.
This is usually my go-to category for New Year's Eve. Nothing says holiday spirit like draping your bod in sparkles. Click each to shop!
I snagged this amazing green sequin mini at H&M for NYE 2012 and I still love it so much.
They have a similar one now for $14.95. I'm sorry, like what??
This was my first NYE in ATL!
Last night I went to a holiday party and wore this fun little June & Hudson skirt ($38!!) paired with my Express crop top. It was a little out of the box for me, but I ended up loving how it came together. Just proves that your shimmer doesn't necessarily have to be all over!
Hi, friends. You're cute.
2. LACE.
Lace is another trend I am feeling some serious love for. It is sexy, but understated and more unexpected than the sparkle route. All four of these are from Lulu's and are under $100. Click each for dets.
3. PLAYSUITS, ROMPERS + JUMPSUITS.
As you guys know, I die for a good jumpsuit. They are usually the most comfortable option, but also one of the chicest in my opinion. Click each to shop!
I am still SO obsessed with this Hunter Bell playsuit I wore to my birthday party.
So there you have it. So sorry that this became such a long post, but there was way too much good to leave anything out! Pair any of these looks with your favorite clutch and a hot shoe and dance your way into 2-0-1-5. See you all at Bungalow Ball? Don't forget to use my code: bungalowsapp for a little discount love!
