New Year's Eve is the absolute MOST fun night to dress for in my humble little opinion. I love the glitz and I live for champagne. The hunt for the perfect outfit never stops. I went out in search of this leather romper , but it was nowhere to be found (tear!) and I ended up with this pencil skirt instead. (It was cheaper! Winning.) 

I am envisioning wearing it with a lace bralette top like this one. Don't you love when you have an outfit in your head and it ends up working!? Literally makes me feel like Rachel Zoe. Now I just need to figure out my shoe situation. Maybe these?

It's almost Thanksgiving and I, for one, cannot wait. I love Thanksgiving food, I love dressing for comfort/maximum food intake, and most of all, I love Thanksgiving SALES! I am not like a wake-up at 4am and stand in line type of Turkey Day shopper, but I do like to do a little browsing after I have had my fill of Sister Schubert dinner rolls, okay?

This outfit is perfect for both the dinner table (just lose the hat or your grandma might die) and the mall afterwards, although I will probably change into these sneaks for the shopping portion of the day.

I snagged this sweater because even though I love the idea of a turtleneck, some can be so strangle-ish! Maybe I have a thick neck? Idk, but the mock-neck is so much easier to wear all day long. My second choice would be this onesie...but ya know, that would be weird. Ehm. Hope you guys have a great Thanksgiving! I'm thankful you like to read this little site of mine.

I am a self-admitted sneakerhead, but these pommed babies HAVE GOT to be my favorite purchase of 2016. Can I say that!? Happy Valentine's Day, Gilties! Hope you are all feeling super loved today. Wanted to share this amazing fringe skirt with you guys, it is the softest, most buttery suede ever. I had every intention of taking the jacket off (WHICH IS ON SALE!!) and showing you the sexy little bodysuit I was wearing underneath, BUT it was arctic outside and could barely smile, much less strip down. Just take my word for it...it's very hawt, and I might have pranced around in it alone after this shoot all Beyonce-like. #feelinmyself

In a lot of ways, a great coat can be an outfit all on its own. I could be wearing anything underneath it and it would still look chic. I love that this one has a huge folding collar that you can wrap around your entire head if you fear the wind like in the 'Stepsister from Planet Weird,' or if you run into someone you don't want to see, or if you haven't washed your hair since Monday. This is a judgement free zone. This one caught my eye when it was still 96 degrees in ATL, so you can imagine my excitement to break it out last week. It is now back in the 70s. I love the South.

I'm wearing it with sneaks here, but it also looks great dressed up with a pair of OTK boots like these. Not looking to be so spendy on a coat right now? Good, because apparently I waited so long to post this, it sold out, but don't worry...I gotchu. Here is a VERY similar version for under $30, and this one is a Forever 21 version.

WEEK IN REVIEW: EIGHT GREATS.

We just had a majorly downpourish summery thunderstorm. Isn't that the best!? While it was all boom boom clap outside my window, I pulled together a little week in review for you to feast on.

1. Express is ON POINT this year with their sunglasses. I've bought two pairs (including this one) in the past three weeks.

2. Ashley convinced me to try this magical little glory-pot last time she was in town. Long story short, I love it, especially the longer-wear it gives my water line on the bottom. The Loreal brand is just as good if you want to test-drive it first!

3. I prefer an angled brush like this one, but any liner brush will do. Hint: choose a finer tip to leave less room for error/panda-eye.

4 & 5. Sooo, my friends and I are planning a wine-tasting tour in October, which naturally led to me shopping for the occasion. This sweater and this fur jacket are both UNDER TWENTY DOLLARS. weeee! Bring it on, Fall.

6. I have worn my tan Sam Edelman gladiators so much this year,  these black beauties are absolutely going to be one of my last summer buys. 

7. I have mentally redecorated my entire living room around this girly rug. Get on my floor, Gigi.

8. These drugstore glosses rival my beloved NARS collection. I scooped up Creme Brulee this week and it smells as good as it looks.

This is my favorite type of spring weekend look. It's comfortable, it's flattering and even if you go out into the day hungover and bare-faced (I didn't go bare-faced, because let's be real here..), you still look polished. Sometimes I find a staple piece so good, that I can't help but buy it in multiple colors. That is exactly how I felt when I came face to face with this drapey capey top in Shelvie Jean Boutique. I tried it on in this greige tone and in black, then promptly bought both and skipped all the way home. Okay, skipped all the way to my car. Forty minutes of skipping would have been a little bit absurd, even for my standards.

Naturally, that gave me an excuse to buy the olive color in the VS wedge bootie that I have in literally every other color except for 'Fig Brown' because ew? Relax, it's not fur real. Lately I have realized that I only like things that are wine-colored, or that are actual wine. The Arctic Blast is upon us, y'all. Do not want. Despite the rude temperatures, it does give us a chance to rock some pretty fierce outerwear. It's all about the silver lining...or in this case, the gray one. You guys might recognize this jacket from my first FALL HAUL post back in August. Loved finally getting to take her for a spin around Buck-hood. Obsessing over the contrasting black zippers would be an understatement.

TRENDING AT TARGET: ALTUZARRA.

It is no secret that I have an extreme relationship with Target. I am either in a full-blown manic state shoving everything into my cart from pine cone snow owls to that goat cheese Archer Farms pizza (you know the one), or I am extremely depressed about the fact that I am going to have to sell my first born to pay for the 12 lamps I am pressing by body against on aisle 7. It's fine, it's totally worth it.

As expected, the Altuzarra for Target line is on-point. Could this python tee be any cuter? In my opinion, the best pieces to help transition your wardrobe between seasons are the most versatile ones that you can wear again & again. I love this tee dressed down with denim cut-offs now (as seen here on my Instagram), but could just as easily throw a blazer over it & wear it to my office.

OH HI, JENELLE. How has everyone's week been? Mine has been borderline terrible and long, and on top of that, Laura Diem told me I have to avoid ham this week. IS TURKEY BACON CONSIDERED A HAM?! On the plus side, I had a great dental visit which left me feeling very confident orally. Cleanliness is next to Godliness. Let's talk more happy things like adult onesies, shall we?

Olive green has always been one of my faves for fall and this year is no exception. It is flattering on everyone, but I really love it on blondes (sorry brownies) and totally blame that on Jessica Simpson's box office hit, Major Movie Star. 2008 was a really great year. When I found this jumpsuit at Express, I knew I had to make it mine. The fact that I had a coupon just further reiterated this point. Anytime I can combine shopping, destiny and thriftiness, I become very excited.

MONDAY KICK-OFF: FALL HAUL PART I.

How is it Monday again already? No, but really. This weekend was a super fun blur. I worked Saturday, then went out to Atkins Park for dinner in the pouring rain with my presh friend Brandi (which was worth it for the caprese alone). Then finally, Sunday was the boyfriend's birthday (yay!) and we watched all of season one of House of Cards. Couldn't move. Couldn't look away. We are an exciting couple, no? Honestly, after all of our travels and then a full week of work, it was so nice to be glued to the couch in our pajamas. I am sure he will be so thrilled I am telling you all of this. Anyway, after all of this recouping, today I finally got my butt in gear, cleaned house and got a manicure. It's incredible what a fresh coat of gel can do for one's attitude.
